Upcoming and Recent Events

Basecamp outage
October 9th-25th

Toastmasters International is in the process of re-vamping their pathways programs and the online interface to access them, called Basecamp. Between October 8-25th, the Pathways will not be accessible. Members can access the "Your Evaluation" page on Base Camp to download full PDFs of any project in their path they may want to access during the outage. New members are still able to plan and deliver their icebreaker using this link.

Annual Club Speech and Evaluation Contest
November 18 and December 9, 2024

Our speech contest will be held on November 18th this year, and the evaluation contest on December 9th.

Anyone member of our club is eligible to compete in either contest, however, to move on to the Area, Division and District levels you must have completed Levels 1 and 2 of your Pathway.  If you haven’t yet completed these levels, please don’t let that discourage you from being a contestant.

Special Event - Whose Line Is It Anyway?
October 28th

On October 28th, we will hold a special meeting that deviates from the traditional format of our meetings. Inspired by the hit Canadian show "Whose Line Is it Anyway", members and guests will be invited to the stage to practice their improv speaking abilities.

Kathryn has begun planning this event and welcomes any other members to help her organize the meeting.

The Ralph C. Smedley Fund

Guelph Public Speakers proudly donates to the Ralph C. Smedley Fund, which offers support for Toastmasters clubs and their members in need. More information on the Smedley Fund can be found here.
